R/EVOLVE

Several years ago I worked with director Billie Rain and producer Basil Shadid on their film “Heart Breaks Open”.  It was my pleasure to work with them again on their new feature “R/EVOLVE”.  It’s a light hearted movie that deals with something mainstream culture never addresses; the myriad viewpoints surround mariage equality within the gay community.  Myself and Jamie Hunsdale provided dialog editing services and a quick mix in time for the premiere at the London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival.

When I Grow Up

I did sound design and mix for this fantastic animated short.  Although my contribution was relatively small, I still had a ton of fun coming up with some classic cartoon sound effects, including making train and boat sounds by blowing into an empty ketchup bottle.

Fractured

“Fractured” my newest sample library distributed by Vir2 instruments and BigFish Audio.  Over a year in the making, it features 100+ original instruments all created from acoustic guitars which I altered and played in a multitude of unconventional ways.   Big thanks to Chris Anderson for his help engineering.  Head to the website to hear some of the awesome demos made by a host of talented composers and to read more about the library.

Safety Not Guaranteed

I worked on this film last year as supervising sound editor with a great team of people at Clatter&Din studios.  It’s played in theaters across the country and is now out on DVD.  Go see this film.  It’s one of only a few films that I can recommend to anyone without hesitation.  Go see it!

Dany Rubyono Demo Reel

The incredibly talented motion graphics animator and owner of the creative agency Duro Compagnie hired me to create the music for his new demo reel.  I made the song first and he edited the reel around the finished piece of music.

Project London

I first started working on Project London over 4 years ago. The movie was being made by team of passionate volunteers and I signed on as a contributing sound editor. Well now, at long last the film is done and it was worth the wait. Low budget yes, but the best kind of low budget movie. The kind that doesn’t take itself too seriously and remembers to be entertaining! This movie has an energy about it which is really infectious. Plus there are tons of amazing VFX shots by a talented team of animators.

Barzan

Barzan started out as just a set of interviews, but soon everyone involved realized that the story demanded a much more detailed telling.  Now a feature length documentary, “Barzan” is about the life of one man, his family, immigration and the price of security in the 21st century.  I had the pleasure of taking care of all the audio post production.  The film was mixed at Jack Straw and Clatter&Din studios in Seattle.

I won an award!

I am very excited to announce that I have won the composers awards for best musical score in a short film at this years Local Sightings festival.  The award was for my score to ”Pretty My Face and Green My Eyes”.  An excerpt from that score can be heard on my music page.  The film itself is still bouncing around the festival circuit and is not yet available online.  I’ll post a link when it is.

The Rest Is Science

This animation is by the very talented Adam Wells. I’m responsible for the music and sound design. Adam lives in London. We met via the Vimeo forums and have been working on this together off and on for several months.  We also collaborated on a 20 minute animated film set to come out later this year.
